I’ve always said one thing that makes Professional Boxing so amazing special is it’s a major sport that gives chances to people other sports would never give a chance.
I love that it gives people who would not have a shot in the NBA, NFL, MBL, NHL, or any on their minor leagues a chance to Fighters, Coaches, Trainers, Managers, and Promoters.
Because of this, the sport is filled with amazing “rags to riches”, “something from nothing”, “turned their life around”, and “against all odds” type stories.
However, the sport is sprinkled with it’s fair share of “false hope”, “not a chance”, “taken advantage of”, and “never should have been in there” news clips.
For these two reasons;
– I LOVE that Professional Boxing will allow pretty much any one to be a Fighters, Coaches, Trainers, Managers, or Promoters.
– I HATE that Professional Boxing will allow pretty much any one to be a Fighters, Coaches, Trainers, Managers, or Promoters.
The fact that a people’s life is truly on the line each time they step in there is what makes me have to point out the unfortunate true of the sport I love being littered with unqualified participants at all levels.
